Kate Winslet, Jane Fonda, and Kerry Washington led the A-list arrivals at the 2024 Women In Film (WIF) Honors at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills on Thursday night.
Winslet, 49, and Washington, 47, were among the ‘outstanding women’ being recognized at the annual soiree for their groundbreaking, culture-shifting work in the film industry.
Fonda was on hand to present the Jane Fonda Humanitarian Award to five-time Oscar nominee, Annette Bening, 66.
On the red carpet, Winslet looked ultra chic in a white pinstripe suit boasting an elegant blue floral pattern.
She wore her blonde hair in a sleek updo, allowing her to show off her enviably smooth visage.
The Titanic star — who refuses to alter her face with Botox or fillers despite Hollywood pressures — completed her look with black heels and large gold hoop earrings.
Winslet is this year’s Crystal Award for Advocacy in Film recipient along with Lee director Ellen Kuras.
Winslet plays American ex-model Lee Miller, who took photographs of poignant moments during World War II for Vogue magazine, in the new biographical drama.
Lee was a passion project for Winslet and director Kuras, with both women committed to the film even after funding woes.
Because of its precarious funding situation, the film — which hit theaters in September — took eight years to make. At one point, Winslet resorted to paying the entire cast and crew for two weeks to ensure production continued.
WIF’s Crystal Award for Advocacy in Film is awarded to ‘individuals who are creating increased opportunities for the advancement of women in the screen industries.’
Winslet and Kuras were recognized for their ‘vision and steadfast dedication to Lee,’ noting that it exemplified ‘the grit and passion it takes to create important work that centers women in the storytelling, and aligns with WIF’s mission of championing women who support other women.’
Fonda looked incredible as she posed up a storm in a sparkly black jacket, slacks and a low-cut top.
The On Golden Pond star, 86, sported glossy pink lips and her hair was styled in voluminous curls for the occasion in Beverly Hills.
She was there to present and celebrate acclaimed actress Bening, who is the 2024 Jane Fonda Humanitarian Award recipient.
The honor is awarded to women who have ‘used their prominent entertainment industry profiles to effect radical change and shed light on issues using their powerful voices.’
